They climbed to the top of the Globe – Aftonbladet

A man climbed on Saturday evening at the top of the Globe Arena in Stockholm.

Police and emergency services went up by a gondola to bring down the man.

– He has climbed where the sky lift passes, said John Larsson at Stockholm police.

It was at 23:55 that the alarm was received at the police. A man had then started to climb up to the top of the Globe.

The place was called a great go-around with several patrol cars, fire trucks and ambulances.

– Now he’s at the top and we have yet not had contact with him, said John Larsson, KC officers of the police in Stockholm, shortly before 01 at night on Sunday.

It remains unclear how it would behave in order to bring down the man and the lingered even before they could establish contact.

At 02 o’clock the emergency services had managed to reach the man and also got him a harness.

– Emergency Services have him under control and to take him down says Pia Glenvik, duty officer at the Stockholm police.

Staff from the police and fire brigade went into one of the globe-shaped elevators that go outside of the Globe to retrieve the man.

At 02:40 pm the man was down on the ground again and was then taken care of by paramedics.

It is not known what got the man to climb the Globe.
