The Riksdag forcing investigation – Helsingborgs Dagblad

The report will analyze how the surplus target has worked, what the risks might be to abandon it as well as possible implications of a revised surplus of the rest of the fiscal framework.

– The surplus target is in focus, but the analysis will take into account other elements of the framework, says Krister Andersson.

Under current legislation the Government is obliged to submit proposals to target for general government net lending. Parliament will then decide on this in his so-called Framework Decision. According to the December agreement between the government and the Alliance will this decision and the decision on the direction of economic policy from the largest party constellation in parliament put through.

– Before you make any changes, so for that which we are agreed on previously . It’s one-sidedness and the speed of the change that we are opposed, says Krister Andersson.

Some formal obstacles for the government to this autumn to submit proposals for the amendment of the surplus target, however.

– If they do it in the fall so break the law explicitly against what the Finance Committee has now decided, says Ulf Krister Andersson.

The Social Democrats, the Greens and the Left Party reservations against the committee’s decision.

– The we made several reasons. Basically, this is a decision that the government can make. Nor do we see no great need to investigate large parts of the financial framework, this is about a level of discussion, said committee chairman Fredrik Olovsson (S) said.

– The government has said it wants to discuss with the bourgeois. Now you’ll have it done in a parliamentary committee, although there is an ungainly shape. But I assume that the government appoints one, says Olovsson.
