Compactor truck stopped traffic on the E4 south of Södertälje – Aftonbladet

A truck overturned on the E4 near Järna night. Two people were taken to hospital.

Salvage work was complicated – and caused a complete shutdown of northbound XXII Marzo stretches over large parts of the day.

truck crashed into a railing and overturned near Järna, south of Södertälje, at 03 o’clock in the night.

According to police, two people have been transferred to Södertälje Hospital for medical treatment. Their injuries are not reported to be serious.

– We do not currently what has caused the accident, says Carina Andersson of the Stockholm police länskommunikationscentral.

Stopped traffic

truck blocked the road, and it was completely stopped for traffic north on E4 past the accident scene. Salvage work was long.

– It will take a number of hours. We have a heavy wreckers in place, awaiting further heavy towing. The truck is about 24 meters long and fully laden. It should be emptied before it can be salvaged, said Carina Andersson early this morning.

At 15 o’clock the truck could be brought in.

Led on cars

The traffic diverted via the old Riksettan. The road is not for the heaviest lorries. They were instead led past the accident site in batches.
