Swedish police better than we thought – Swedish Dagbladet

– We see no differences, says the Head of Unit Stina Holmberg.

They have been used as a weapon in the political debate, figures showing that the proportion of so-called person cleared crimes are lower in Sweden than in other countries. But the numbers are misleading.

– We have a very extensive way to count the crimes on and a very strict way of calculating person translucency, says Stina Holmberg, Head of Crime Prevention Council (good).

When good now used a more accurate way to count revealed that Swedish police and Swedish legal system in general is not at all good at solving crime compared to Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany and England.

– Of course it is positive to see that Swedish police are so well compared to other countries. The blackening of the police that some indulged get a little counter-thrust here, says Justice Minister Beatrice Ask (M).

But, still applies to the proportion of persons cleared crimes declined in recent years. It is also a fact that personuppklarningen for different types of crime can differ greatly between today’s 21 police forces.

– The whole purpose of reorganized on 1 January 2015, when we have a government, is to use “best practice” everywhere, says Ash.

It is also hoped that the control of the police should be improved.

– It is clear that there has been more difficult to get a good national governance when we had 21 agencies and that it will be easier when we get one, says Ash.

TT: Is not there a superstition that the new organization will solve all problems
