Alliance greater than S + MP – Göteborgs-Posten

The Government parties S and MP slopes in SCB’s big party preference measurement.
But the Red-Green block is still the biggest and the Sweden Democrats is consolidating its balance of power.

The two government parties get together 36.7 percent of the vote if elections were held today, while the four Alliance parties get 40.3 percent. But the parliamentary situation arise that after last autumn’s elections. The red-green bloc, including the W, is still larger than the Alliance parties. At the same time retains the SD’s balance of power and get the best result so far in a Statistics Sweden survey, 14.5 percent.

A: “Stable”
The Social Democrats slopes are boring , says LO’s chairman Karl Petter Thorwaldsson.

– I think the Social Democrats must take it very seriously, to win back voters, he said.

Thorwaldsson expect, however, that S will grow in public opinion when government budgets begins to work.

– I think they have a good chance for the elections in 2018 if they become more aggressive, he says.

The Social Democrats’ party secretary Carin Jämtin think after all that support for S and the government is stable, even if the S drop 1.9 percentage points and MP drop 0.8 percentage points compared with SCB’s November survey.

– It is stable figure for a government given that it is such a complex parliamentary situation, the government has to deal with, say Jämtin.

Higher in SCB
political science Jonas Hinnfors agree that nothing dramatic happened in the opinion. He believes that the voters have difficulty orienting themselves in the financial turmoil last autumn and after the December agreement. In addition, several parties in developing their policies and a couple have changed party leader.

Compared to other polls, the S usually higher figures in Statistics Sweden’s survey. The trend, however, according Hinnfors, the S drop since the months before the election.

– S is difficult to formulate policy proposals that match the party’s criticism of the alliance and the commitments they themselves made. It can make voters hesitate, says Hinnfors.

– If it continues to decline, you can have internal tensions about what to do.

Drops to SD
The Moderates’ party secretary Tomas Tobé is delighted that his party is growing. But even if M increases the total, so you lose voters to SD.

– When it comes to SD, I think the most important thing for the Conservatives is to develop our integration and migration policy. They have no answers to how more foreign-born to come to work. Then it is important to us that we take these societal challenges seriously, says Tobé.

For two other Alliance parties, KD and FP, the SCB survey grim reading. Leadership change in the KD has not given any lift. The party gets 3.8 percent and could fall out of parliament if elections were held today. The Liberal Party is doing its worst SCB results in many years and may be 4.9 percent. The bad numbers can revive an internal debate if it’s time for a party ledarbyte.

Nomination Process for FP’s national congress in the autumn has just begun.

What primarily distinguishes Statistics s opinion poll, published twice a year, is the substrate. More than 6,000 people have responded. Other voter barometers usually settle over 1 000th
