Just after half past nine on Tuesday morning was alerted police in Stockholm to a residential area in Sundbyberg. A notifier had discovered an unknown man entered the neighbor’s yard and suspected person to be a potential burglar. The man the bar at the moment on a red carrier bag from which it stack up a hårkalufs.

Several police patrols were alerted to residential and knocked at the house where the man with the carrier bag has entered the race for the burglar .

But the truth was different.

– I had been to kindergarten with the little girl and had a bag with a raincoat and little else. On the way home we wanted our two year old guy definitely “go bag” a bit. He chokes with laughter when he does. So I carried him the last thirty meters into the neighbor where we would refreshments, says the father Torkel Kristoffers.

What the father did not know was another neighbor caught a glimpse of him and a shock of hair sticking out of a bag and did not recognize the two. Worried she hit the alarm to the police believing it was a burglar.

– She knew enough not recognize me in my paternity leave beards. And it was good that she sounded the alarm, it could have been a thief for real.

After a while, the doorbell rang and three policemen standing in the hall.

– They asked if we had seen a suspicious person, darkly dressed and carrying a bag. Eventually it dawned on me that it was me they meant, says Torkel Kristoffers.

A few minutes later could policemen dismiss it all.

– When they found the man ran baby around playing inside the house. There was absolutely no crime in it all, says Eva Nilsson, information officer at the police in Stockholm.

– And it is not forbidden to carry someone in a cage. Kids are the ones that are, says Eva Nilsson.
