The Green Party’s support has halved in six months – Expressen

The Green Party has halved in six months and has now its lowest support since 2006.

It shows a new Sifo survey SvD ordered.

In Sifo’s voter barometer for May figures show that the crisis for the Green party not over, but rather deepened.

the party is with its 4.1 close parliamentary latch, a statistically significant number of SvD’s survey.

Last week published SvD an additional examination with reason of the MP-crisis. MAY RESULT confirm what was shown as: The Green Party is now at its lowest support since 2006.

“Pretty expected”

Green Party leadership is not surprised by the results.

– It is quite expected figures for the recent turmoil. We aim forward and will work hard to reverse the trend. It is going very very green policies for sustainable development in the country and I think that’s what the voters want to see from us. The Congress represents a clear starting point where we focus on the green transition, what we have achieved and what we want to forward, says the newly elected party secretary Amanda Lind Expressen.

Since the 2014 election, 96 000 voters went to the S and V , 73 000 to the Alliance and more than 50,000 say they would not vote at all if there were elections today. Particularly city dwellers and women under 50 years – the MP’s strong voter groups – have largely abandoned the party.

Mouthpiece choice did not help

Some of the interviews that form the basis for the new opinion polls made after the nomination committee presented the proposal on the new female voice, and even after Isabella Lövin been selected.

This has not helped the numbers.

– There are no signs that the voice spoils had no direct effect on public opinion. The crisis for the Green Party is not over, it continues, says Sifo opinion boss Toivo Sjörén to SvD.

In contrast, the Social Democrats remained the same.

Voters have therefore not punished the party for samregerandet MP .

Alliance has not attracted the MP-voter

The Left has 7.9 percent of the electorate support and SD’s decline has slowed and support increases from 15.7 to 16.1, a result which, however, is within the margin of error.
