A powerful explosion occurred in central Arboga. Concrete and glass fragments have been thrown around in a residential building on Herrgårdsgatan.
– It was a damn loud bang, says a witness.
The explosion occurred at 18:40 o’clock. Shortly afterwards gathered several people at the site.
A witness Aftonbladet talked to was next to where template.
– It was a damn loud bang. Glass, concrete and bricks have been spread safely 20 meters around.
Several windows were destroyed by the explosion, which occurred at a business premises on the ground floor.
– Windows and blinds have been destroyed, and even on the third floor, said the witness.
Another person who was 15-20 meters away from the explosion says this:

– It was lucky that there was no car then it would have been able to go bad.
Bomb Group on the way
The police arrived at the scene at 19 o’clock. Emergency services go around the house to ensure that no-one had been injured in the blast.
– We do not know at this stage what caused the blast. Police and emergency services have been sent there, says Matilda Isaksson, KC-command at Västmanland police.
A bomb team from Stockholm has been engaged to investigate the site. An area around the building has been cordoned off pending the bomb group scans the area.
According to TT injured four people with minor injuries by the explosion.
– We have no suspect but we have launched a preliminary investigation of devastation endangering the public, said Lisa True Ervik, spokesperson at the Police Region.
Retirement Homes evacuated
In the building where the explosion occurred several apartments and business premises. According to data Aftonbladet explosion occurred in a garage under the building.
– A retirement home nearby will be evacuated, said Lisa True Ervik.
