A 80-year-old is serious but not life-threatening injured, according to police. The other injured man, who are in their 30s, had neck pain.
Police believe that the accident was caused by one of the cars drove in the wrong direction.
– A few minutes before the accident, we call that a car driving against the traffic. And the car that is described resembles one of those who were involved in the accident, said Robert Edh, deputy spokesman at police in West Bengal.
He would not say who of the wounded who drove the car.
