Some 40 firefighters are still fighting against the fire at a large slaughterhouse in Skovde, which is expected to continue well into Saturday.
– It burns still, but not quite as intense. There is a thick layer of insulation that is still burning on the roof, which is very difficult to extinguish, says Per-Erik Thyberg, inner officers at the emergency services in eastern Skaraborg, at three o’clock in the night.
No people have come to damage and contagion risk
has decreased according to the fire department. Cause of the fire is unknown and police have launched a preliminary investigation of arson.
