Five fires in one hour in Trelleborg – Expressen

Five times in less than an hour it started to burn Trelleborg neighborhood in the night.
Police suspect that the fires are started deliberately.
It’s not normally four or five fires in such a short time, says Magnus Lefevre, duty officer at Skåne police.

The first alarm came in at 23:32. Then burned it in a däckshög behind Euromaster on Sjöviksvägen.
Just a few minutes later were alerted about two car fires on King Charles Road.
23:52 it was time again – when it starts to burn in a high clutter behind Jysk at Stas Torpgatan .

Fire in the Viking

When the rescue services extinguished the fires will have an alarm. A building in the Viking Trelleborgen Trelleborg was in flames.
– There is a great deal. We have had two stations in time at these fires, which in and of itself gone right quickly to extinguish, said Mats Streer at Rescue South.
Stake manager Martin von Gertten at the emergency services in Trelleborg confirms to the Evening Post that one of the buildings in Viking village, one about 15 feet long extend completely destroyed inside by the fire.
– We will be there for the night after the extinction, he says.

Not normally

At bilbränderna on King Karl’s road is a car burned out and damaged.
Skåne police during the night sent several patrols Trelleborg, state duty officer Magnus Lefevre.
– It’s not normal that it burns at four or five places on like this short time. We assume that the fires are man-made, he says.
During the night, police have searched for suspected offenders, but even at 02 o’clock was not arrested.
– What we are doing now is that we have dog squads that tracks from some of the fire-places to see if we can get something up track, or find some items that we can put in the context of the events.
– Then we have squads that are observant if it enters the alarm about new fires, explains Magnus Lefevre.
Police are also working to bring in witness statements. According to information provided to the Evening Post, a gang of youths have been visible in connection with one or more of the fire places.
– I have not received any witness statements yet and do not know if there is one or more perpetrators, says Magnus Lefevre at Skåne police.
No known pyromaniac is on the loose?
– No, I think not. We have no information on it.
