Several residents in Hammarkullen was attacked with firecrackers and rockets in their homes during Monday evening. Even the police were attacked when they arrived at the scene.
The first alarm came 18:03. At Hammarkulletorget youths threw the first stone against a window. When the resident opened the window shot a rocket into the room and a curtain caught fire. The fire could be extinguished by those who lived in the apartment.
Ten minutes later, police received the alarm about a rocket thrown in through a mailbox in Sand Plain. The rocket exploded inside the apartment and the apartment owner is said to be very upset. The damage was not worse than burns on the carpet.
At six-thirty someone threw firecrackers into through a mail slot on Bredfjällsgatan in Hammarkullen. Even where the residents could themselves extinguish the fire.
Even the police were attacked when they arrived.
– It feels as if these young people want to get started us on the police and emergency services. At one of the homes they threw eggs at police who arrived at the scene, said Björ Blixter, police spokesman in West Bengal.
