– People threw themselves into the cars to go to Öland, says Markus Tallroth, birdwatchers from Kalmar, told the newspaper.

There is, as far as known , the first time since 1964 that a booted eagle comes to the island. The bird nests in the usual case in southern Europe and northern Africa.

Warm winds are believed to have defrauded the Eagle from its usual route, and allows more unusual species of birds can travel as far north as Sweden.

– they have been able to see both the glossy ibis and evening falcon, two really unusual birds at these latitudes, says Markus Tallroth.
