Who threw stones at the police? – Folkbladet

It was at half noon, night on Saturday, a police patrol went to Hagebygatan to implement a vehicle control.

– The patrol went on a traffic then it came up a number of young people threw stones at them, says the police investigation officers Calle Jerrhage on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the notification, it was 15-20 “young talents” who threw stones at police. A stone struck the police car with a minor injury.

– The majority of the gang then took to his feet but the four boys in the 16-18-year-old was removed from the site under the Police Act, Section 13, writes on his police website.

No police were injured in the incident. If the police officers themselves were in danger or if it was just the police car that was damaged was the Tuesday unclear.

– But it’s never nice with stone throwing, says Calle Jerrhage.

Just under two hours later, at halvtvå on Saturday morning, came a new alarm if the car was on fire on Planes street in Hageby. A car was completely burned and two others injured before emergency services managed to extinguish the fire. A notification of vandalism was established.

Do you see any connection between the stone-throwing?

– No, not right now, says Calle Jerrhage.

It is not the first time police attacked in Norrköping lately. On annandagsjul police attacked by a gang of 20 to 30 masked youths who threw firecrackers and stones at them when they went to Navestad or Ringdansen as it is now called, to several people called on young people shooting rockets at buildings. It was also built fires.

A notification of rioting was made.

– We had no success because none of them who were with wanted to talk to us. Unfortunately, these crimes are important to clear up, says Göran Eriksson, investigators in juvenile and adds: It is not easy crime to find out.

It is not the first time the police are attacked when they are on the job in Navestad. As Folkbladet told at the end of November last year became even two civilian police cars vandalized during a technical inspection after two dead bodies found in an apartment in Silver Ring, in late November.
