The mailboxes in the area around Smalandsstenar have gaped empty the past few days because postmen been home sick in bed.
It’s the flu struck among postal staff and up to 1500 mailboxes have become without delivery. Every fourth postman on entry for Värnamo area has been sick and it has been difficult to find substitutes.
– For two days we had such a high rate of illness that we failed in our mission, unfortunately, says Eva-Lotta Andersson, production area Manager at the Post for Värnamo area, to P4 Jönköping.
