Unknown people threw glass bottles with gasoline on a balcony in Linköping.

The police were alerted 23:23 at a multifamily neighborhood Ryd in Linköping. An accommodation called the police after receiving something thrown at her balcony door. They heard a bang and felt the smell of smoke.

– The family did not dare go out to watch, it’s clear it’s unpleasant, says Lars-Göran Nilseryd, duty officer at the police in Linköping.

When the police patrol arrived at the apartment, they discovered that glass bottles with petrol had been thrown against the balcony.

After the blast the bottles are crushed and the entire balcony is said to be drenched in gasoline. Because the family felt that it smelled of smoke believe the police that there may have been about a “Molotov cocktail”, a sort of home-made petrol bomb.

– at present we can not see any clear threats against the family who lives there, says Nilseryd.

The event is titled as suspected arson.

Just a few days ago, on July 30 someone threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of a school in Linköping, writes TT. Nor does it caught fire.

– Sure, one can speculate that there is a connection. But it’s too early to conclude that it could be the same person, says Jan Millmark the police in Linköping said.

The police have not arrested any suspects in the incident and are interested in the observations of the event.
