Five year old boy died of drowning – Aftonbladet

Emergency services were called to a bath in Hässelby beach after a five year old boy disappeared under the water.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but his life could not be saved .

– The boy is deceased, said police station officer in the western Stockholm.

The alarm came in at 17:23. A five year old boy had then disappeared into the water at Maltesholm bath in Hässelbystrand. Police and emergency services were sent to the scene.

– The ongoing CPR. The boy is on the way to hospital, said Anna Kling, officers at the police control center, after the event.

The boy died of his injuries. His relatives are informed.

– The boy is deceased, said station commander at the police in western Stockholm.

A witness who Aftonbladet talked to says that the incident began with a man called after the boy.

– Then came the rescue. The divers jumped in immediately. When they got up the boy became very cries at the scene, said the witness.

The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance.

After the incident, the police were on hand to talk to witnesses.
