Lena Erixon will be the new Director General of the Finnish Transport Agency. Erixon is currently Director General of the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and will assume his new position on 1 September.
The process to replace former Director General Gunnar Malm, who left the Finnish Transport Agency last year, has been delayed, admitted Infrastructure Minister Anna Johansson (S) when she presented Lena Erixon at a press briefing on Friday.
– But the one who waits for something good never waits too long. This is one of Sweden’s most important, but also the most difficult job. Therefore it has been important that we get the right person.
Lena Erixon has been the Director General of FMV for three years and has previously worked at the then Swedish Road Administration and the acting Director General of the Finnish Transport Agency.
