Police have arrested two men suspected of robbing an eatery in Iggesund at gunpoint. One of them is also linked to an aggravated theft against an elderly woman in her home in the same locality at the coast of Hälsingland.
The officer in charge of police officer Peter Hultqvist says that the night was not possible to interrogate the men, who are 35 years of age and the influence of drugs. But his assessment is that both will be detained for questioning.
We have at least enough of them, says Hultqvist.
One of the detainees forced into an elderly woman’s home via a balcony. He told her he was looking for gold, but instead he stole a tablet. The police found one of the men in connection with the arrest, which occurred after they received tips about the two “mysterious male” who dwelt in Iggesund.
The police also found a weapon, believed to have been used in the robbery against eatery.
