The police have now launched an investigation into the explosion that occurred at a biogas filling station in Linköping in the morning. Torbjörn Lindqvist, duty officer at the police, says he’s never been anything like it.
It was when a taxi driver was about to fill up a biogas-powered passenger car tank suddenly exploded.
The driver, who escaped with minor injuries, will then have been a little bit away from the car and he was lucky, says police.
– It was the providence of God can say, says Torbjörn Lindqvist, duty officer at the police in Östergötland.
He also says that there was an explosion.
– I understand that it will slammed pretty good on the site. On the pictures you can see that the rear window was completely gutted and there must also have been pieces of bodywork tens of meters from the site.
As the cab driver was on duty when the blast occurred headlining the police at present the incident as an accident, but the rubric are subject to change.
Have you been involved in any accident like this before?
– No, I can not even say that I have been involved if someone like this accident before so it may well be regarded as unusual, says Torbjörn Lindqvist.
