Seven people in collision with two cars on E4 – Aftonbladet

A serious traffic accident occurred between two cars on the E4 outside Timrå.

Seven people involved in the accident – one is critically injured.

– A person on the roadway was hit by a car, which in turn was driven on, says Marcus Grahn at police in Västernorrland.

The alarm about the accident came in the police at 23.50. Along with the emergency services and ambulance are one in place at the site of the accident. According to police, seven people involved in the collision between the two vehicles occurred on E4 at a roundabout in Timra.

According to initial information to the police, a person has been on the roadway at E4 whereupon one of the involved cars first managed to slow down and stop. It was then hit by an underlying car and the first car was thrown when ahead and met the person.

It is not known what the person did on the road.



Three are said to be younger

Seven people are injured – one of them is under the first tasks in critical condition. Five designated by the hospital as wounded and one person is physically unharmed.

Among the injured are three children aged seven or eight to fifteen years. None of the children should have received critical injuries.

– At the moment everything is focused on getting away the injured to hospitals, says Marcus Grahn, duty officer at the police in Västernorrland, at 00.30 o’clock.

“A violent bang”

A witness who came to the scene shortly after the crash tells Aftonbladet that one person seems to have been thrown out of one of the vehicles.

– It seems have been a violent bang. There is rubble all over the road and in any case one car is completely wrecked.

E4 was far off in the southbound direction during rescue efforts and traffic being diverted via Timrå. At the 02-time traffic could be released on, police said.
