Prosecutions for baby abuse the right of the JO – Swedish Radio

The Ombudsman, JO, criticizing the Prosecution Office in Borås to be slow. Two parents from Sjuhärad suspected of beating his infant son, but the trial lingered – long.

The son was taken to hospital when he was just six weeks old and which was found the femur was broken.

Both parents became suspicious and accused of aggravated assault and were in custody for some time.

But the trial was postponed and was the first after one year and eight months, and which acquitted the young couple.
