The reason is stated, inter alia, the weak performance in last year’s election – the party was aiming at 10 000 votes, but only got just over 4000 votes, and it did not manage to take seats in any of the 34 municipalities man ran in.
“The ability to reach the next level on the political ladder to get into the new organizers and party representatives was needed, disappeared,” writes the party on the website according to Dagens Nyheter.
Party leader Stefan Jacobsson reaffirms dissolution of the party for Aftonbladet:
– Yes, that’s right, he told the newspaper.
Jacobsson would not give any further comments but refer to the text on the party’s website.
