The school psychologist became seriously ill after eating halvråa chicken legs in school. Now, does she municipality on a quarter-million dollars

But for a school psychologist came the warning too late. She had already put teeth into the halvråa chicken legs. A few days later, fell ill woman. She got severe cramps, high fever and diarrhea:
– I had to call the ambulance. I could barely stand on his legs, she said to Sydsvenskan.
Skåne University Hospital in Malmö was found that the patient is suffering from a Campylobacter infection. According to the hospital are the most common symptoms diarrhea, vomiting, fever and abdominal pain.
An investigation showed that the check failed during cooking of chicken legs. It turned out that a chef had cooked the chicken and then passed at a meeting. Her lawyer believes that the municipality has a “strict product liability” based on a similar case in the Supreme Court in 1989. Then hit the highest court held that the Municipality of Stockholm was responsible Salmonella infected remoulade and mustard dressing that was served in a school canteen. An affected teachers received 61,000 kronor in damages.
The school psychologist today can only work a few hours a day:
– I do not know when or if I will recover from this. I could have died, she said.
Every year approximately 8000 people of Campylobacter infection in Sweden. Most cases are caused by poorly cooked chicken and raw milk.
