– A witness on the mainland has seen a scooter riders out on the ice, and then have it suddenly was not there, says Mikael Bergström at the air and sea rescue center.
A police helicopter from Constance is in place and looking after snowmobile trails and the Maritime Administration rescue helicopter from Umeå are heading to the area.
The ice is reported to be weak in the area.
