A police officer was Friday night attacked by a knife gunman in a stairwell in the area Kirseberg in Malmö. He could overpower the attacker, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police were called to the scene in response to a threat from an armed man. The patrols spread to look for the culprit. In a staircase became a lone police attacked from behind by a knife gunman, says Hans Nilsson, duty officer at Skåne police.
The police did not manage to obtain any weapon, but it became a wrestling match. With the help of another officer who came there could knife the man arrested.
– It was pure luck that no one was seriously injured, says Hans Nilsson.
Another man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. Both arrested is 25 years old.
