Major disruptions in train today – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Traffic Authority announces that commuter trains to pass through the south of Stockholm will turn Fairs and Stockholm Central Station. A cable is burned, causing the train can go on only one of the four tracks. It affects both commuter and long-distance services – in the latter case affects the trains passing Flemingsberg. Commuter rail passengers are advised by SL to switch to metro Farsta beach.

– Try to be there in time. Take other than the commuter train if there is an opportunity to ride the bus or subway, or if it is possible to bike to another station, says Johan Nordgren on SL’s press service.

Because a belated track work on the commuter rail line Balsta-Nynashamn, it is also a stop between stations Spanga and Jakobsbergsgatan. Train services are replaced there by 10 buses.

– Buses do not have the same capacity as commuter time, so there will be delays and crowded. It’s just to go out with a great deal of patience and plenty of time, says Nordgren at SL.

The long-distance trains that pass where, for example, in the direction of Vasteras, Arboga and Örebro affected.

A preliminary forecast from the Swedish Transport Administration says that two of the four tracks on the Stockholm south can be opened at 20 o’clock in the evening. Not forecast when the problem of railway work north is remedied are not currently. Lennart Hellsing at the Swedish Transport Administration’s press service suspect that it becomes difficult to travel throughout Monday:

– It beats a little different so it’s hard to say how the trains will go. We can run trains on a track, but it will be a problem all day. A cable fire I interpret that it will be an extensive restoration work. It is not just to turn on the power again.
