Maria Wetterstrand and Wijkman is back in the spotlight in environmental policy.
They have now been appointed chairman of the Environmental Objectives Council and the Environmental Objectives The preparation of the Environment Åsa Romson.
Maria Wetterstrand was spokesman for the Green Party until 2011. Since then she has not been seen less frequently, but now she once chance to influence policy. As chairman of the newly established Environmental Objectives Council, she co-ordinate Swedish authorities miljöarbete.4
Mr Wijkman, former MP for the Moderate Party and Member of Parliament for the Christian Democrats, has not been marked significantly in recent years. Now he chaired the work of the Swedish environmental objectives including the establishment of a climate policy framework to advance climate policy.
– The intention is that this will be a parliamentary committee with the participation of all parties. We need a broad political commitment to strengthen climate work both in Sweden and abroad, says Åsa Romson.
She has also been named Annika Helker Lundström, former CEO of Swedish Wind Energy, a national environmental coordinator for the business community.
