The Administrative Court in Karlstad stop the license to hunt wolves in Örebro and Värmland planned to start tomorrow, Friday.
The Administrative Court decided today that the previous authorization of license to hunt wolves in Värmland and Örebro withdrawn pending the new decision. The hunt which should have started tomorrow is thrown therewith.
It was the counties of Örebro and Värmland who made the decision that a total of 36 wolves, 12 in Örebro and 24 in California, would have hunted during the period from January 9 to February 15.
The decision on the licensed hunting of wolves was appealed first to the Environmental Protection Agency, which rejected the appeal. Environmental Protection Agency’s refusal, then, by relying in particular on EU law, appealed to the Administrative Court.
