Fire Damaged man died of his injuries – Expressen

The 73-year-old man who was badly injured in a fire in Rottne outside Växjö on Monday has died.

The man’s clothes caught fire in an accident when the couple fired his stove in the recreation room. His wife was also injured but not as serious.

The fire broke out at lunchtime on Twelfth Night. The couple was in the basement of his home at Pers way in Rottne and fired in his stove.

The fireplace was an older, fireplace that had been fitted with a modern effort. Exat what happened is not yet fully understood. Forensic Detectives were working Tuesday to probe the fire area.

– We have been there and made a fire site investigation, said police investigators Staffan Source.

– But the results and analysis from it we can not please visit until Wednesday. I can only say that the fire occurred in connection with a stove in the recreation room. How safe ones are depends on how fires in them.

Värends rescue stated during Thirteen Evening TT that the man’s clothes caught fire and the woman injured in when she tried to rescue him.

Both were taken to the Central Hospital in Växjö, but the man burns were so severe that he spent the evening were transported on to the Burn Unit at the University Hospital in Linköping for specialist care.

On Tuesday came the news that he had died. Inner officer Emir Bajric at the Kronoberg Police confirmed the death, saying that health care has informed his relatives about this. Police are investigating the incident as a suspected case of second-degree assault.
