Vital retain Bromma Airport – Gothenburg Post

Vital retain Bromma Airport – Gothenburg Post

To close the Bromma Airport, Red-Greens want, would strike hard at jobs and companies in Gothenburg, writes the Alliance.

We want more companies setting up in Gothenburg and that we attract more talented people to the city. A growing Gothenburg gives more opportunities, more workers for companies to choose from and a larger and broader range of culture and entertainment.

To become a growing Gothenburg, several things must be solved. School results must be improved. Attractive schools is a prerequisite for an attractive city. Housing construction must increase substantially. Access to the apartments and houses are a prerequisite for getting people to move here. City of Gothenburg must also be sure to take considerable steps to improve the business climate.

Good communications is a critical factor affecting the willingness and the ability to both establish and run a business in Gothenburg. It is obviously about local traffic, but a significant part is being able to get access to other parts of Sweden and to other parts of the world.

play important roles

The airports Landvetter Gothenburg City plays today an important role for international flights to and from Gothenburg for both business travelers and leisure trips. For thousands of businesses in Gothenburg, it is also crucial to quickly and easily to travel to and from Stockholm to conferences, customer or sales meetings. For many, Bromma Airport today the natural link to Stockholm.

Before the election was mortified by Stefan Löfven and other Social Democrats clearly – Bromma be maintained. After the election, the red-green parties changed their minds and now open for the closure of the airport.

hit hard job and business

From Gothenburg is 40 percent of all flights to Bromma. Arlanda has no ability to take over the traffic and train services are unable to meet the demand for the foreseeable future. The effect of the Red-Green willingness to close the airport would provide fewer opportunities to travel to and from Stockholm. It would strike hard at jobs and companies in Gothenburg.

Today, Thursday, parliament voted on the future of Bromma Airport. The Alliance MPs from Gothenburg will vote to preserve Bromma. We wish to draw the matter to the Social Democratic MPs from Gothenburg: How do you plan to vote on the question of Bromma airport’s future?
